Jeff y Lucia estan empezando la milonga “Otros Buenos Aires” pensando en la gente que ha preguntado donde pueden ir a bailar mas musica moderna de Libedinsky Tanghetto, Piazzolla, etc… por supuesto ellos gustan de los clasicos como Pugliese, Troilo, Di Sarli, Vargas y otros, como tambien ocasionalmente Duke Ellington, Edith Piaf, o Diam. Esta milonga es para esa gente que siente, que gusta bailar tango mas que solo con la musica tradicional.
La Flaca Lucia, antes organizo milongas, ella llevara esa experiencia a este nuevo proyecto. Lucia y su pareja Gerry, juntos daran la clase y la practica antes de la milonga.

El lugar es el clasico, autentico y romantico Club de Tango Independencia. Av. Independencia 572 todos los Viernes.

“Milonga Otros Buenos Aires” was inspired by tango lovers that would sometimes like to hear a wider range of the tango music spectrum (Libedinsky, Tanghetto, Piazzoll

a) and even non-tango  music that is great for dancing to (Duke Ellington, Edith Piaf, or Diam) The point of “Otros Buenos Aires” is to have fun with tango.

Helping pull this together are los profesores Lucia Seva (who has done this before, and will hopefully be bringing home-made empanadas!), and her English-speaking partner, Gerry, who will, with Lucia be teaching classes before the milonga.

The venue is at the classic, authentic and romantic Independencia 572 tango club, evoking the ghosts of a by-gone era (yes, that IS cliche, but it’s true!)

As this is all one big experiment, if you have any ideas, opinions, complaints, etc… we would love to hear them.
